Often we have been told: We are sincere and honest! This is how our church believes! Or worse: you are not sincere! The question in the day of judgement will not be in regards to what your church believed! Nor what your Pastor told you or preached often. The life or death question is: What do you believe and why? Can you give a reasonable answer with sincerity? How about the truth? Do you love God and his word? Can you prove what you profess to believe from God's word? "3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ." 1 Peter 3: 15-17Even when others may think you are not sincere, because you do not see as they do or you chose to believe otherwise because that is what you read in God's word, that is great! We are to know what we believe and why we believe it. We are not saved in groups, membership capacity or any other prop. Salvation is an individual matter!
